Dr. Rebecca Lin was born and raised in Maryland. She obtained a BA in French from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and her DVM from Cornell University. After graduation, Dr. Lin completed a general internship at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. In 2009, she completed a three-year surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania and relocated to South Florida to begin her career as a veterinary surgeon. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. She is also certified in canine rehabilitation.

Dr. Lin is married with two children and two cats. She enjoys being active with her family, cooking, traveling and reading.

Appointment Schedule

Dr. Lin sees appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. New appointments are 45 minutes. Rechecks are 15 minutes. There is typically NO exam fee for a post-operative recheck (suture removal, regularly scheduled post-operative radiographs).

Drop off

Drop-off cases typically will include patients being admitted for surgery, outpatient procedures (minor surgical procedures or CT with same day discharge), rechecks (orthopedic cases) needing follow-up radiographs (especially if sedation is needed), bandage or dressing changes, etc. Special instructions, if applicable, will be given at the time of the appointment is made. 

Services Provided

Dr. Lin has training in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as some neurosurgery. If a client has questions about having a specific surgery performed at SVRC, please consult with the surgery service. Dr. Lin does not perform total hip replacements, brain surgery, or renal transplant.
